Sunday Breakfast: Dash Cooker #1
Updated: Mar 7, 2022
I thought I would put a twist on our usual Sunday morning breakfast by pulling out the Dash Mini Waffle Maker. These Dash cookers (I got mine in Target) are so fun and easy and perfect for meals or snacks for 1-2 people. And given the small size, any mess from overfilling the cooker is equally as small (spoken from experience!), so waste is minimal and clean up a breeze.
The single waffle cooker also pairs great with one of my favorite breakfast hacks - the big bag of Krusteaz pancake mix from Costco. Just add water and you can cook up a variety of fluffy breakfast items. Add extra protein powder, fruit, berries, chocolate chips - you name it - to your heart’s content to realllly wow the family and show your creative side.
I kept things simple for this breakfast - 1 waffle topped with a slice of American cheese and then topped with scrambled or fried eggs. The waffle cooks in the same time as the eggs, and it was a nice taste departure from a bagel or English muffin.
Bonus HEROS note: the combo of waffle cooker and pancake mix is a great way to teach the kids some kitchen basics! Just make sure they remember to unplug the cooker. Gold star if you can get them to clean up their own mess!!!
